Solid and engineered timber kitchens that have been well maintained over the years are usually good candidates for spray painting. Older kitchens too can benefit from the pick-me up that spray painting provides, once the cabinetry is in generally good shape.

Brightening up a dark room

It isn’t an overstatement to say that changing the colour of your kitchen cabinetry can completely transform your kitchen. This is particularly evident when we’re working with a kitchen that’s poorly lit, and has dark timber doors.

The same principle applies to wardrobes. In particular, an expansive fitted wardrobe spray painted in a light neutral, can considerably brighten up a bedroom.

When it comes to furniture, and specifically traditional furniture, spray painting makes for a considerable modernising effort. While we can’t change the silhouette of a traditional dresser or dining table, a change of colour often does wonders.

If you have spent anytime decorating, you’ll already know that paint finishes come with a number of options. We typically recommend a soft-sheen finish (using PU paint) because we find it to be a practical option for most homes.
